January

The last few weeks of 2024 were a little crazy for us—good crazy! The night before Christmas Eve, we had our final feast of the year, cooking for fourteen people in some crazy cold winds! We then shot down to Cornwall for six days, just the two of us. We swam in the sea, cooked great food, saw lovely people and even got a few Christmas waves.

Now writing this a little hazed from last night’s dinner and drinks that we hosted, I am sure, like the rest of you, we are not sure what day of the week it is! But now we have our first Fade Feast of the year this Saturday followed by another one the following weekend.

Reflection

So what have we learnt from 2024?

We love what we do, and sure, at times, it gets a little stressful. However, at the end of the day, we are usually creating a moment for people to enjoy and remember. If we manage to take it a step further and inspire people to get outdoors and cook using fire - even better.

The fulfilment we gain from running these events has been amazing. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us in 2024, we wouldn’t have this little business without you all, and we can't wait to see what we can do this year.

Moving forward

Okay, so 2025 what’s the plan?

Keep it simple and do more of the same. We will continue to learn new skills that can then be shared at Fade Schools and used to host unique alfresco dining experiences via Fade Feasts. We have an exciting plan to work with our friends over at the Royal Oak in Gretton with some new creative content ideas. These will focus on inspiring you to get out there and try a few ideas yourself. We might even tempt you into coming over to the Cotswolds and booking a full Fade experience.
